"Rebel Without a Cake" is another fun entry in the Piece of Cake mystery series. This story is set just a few weeks after the events of the fourth book, "The Cakes of Wrath". The story here revolves around feuding staff members at the Zydeco bakery shop, the impending birth of Edie's baby, and a death in the bayou. This is an excellent mystery series, and if you haven't read the others in this series, I suggest you read those books first.

Enjoyed the other 4 books in the series but this one seemed a little off the mark. The heroine is afraid to speak her mind yet is fine with driving off into the swamp by herself?? I actually skimmed parts of it just to get to the "meat" of the story. The sections where the author deals with interpersonal relationships are good and will keep me looking for the next book to see what develops.
