Not great literature but the WHA was true pioneer in the hockey world. At 277 pages, it's about 200 pages light in being the definative word on the seven seasons of WHA, but the stories are good. But don't expect organized stats, standings, all star teams or even a listing of Cup winners.
I grew up with the Fighting Saints and miss that end to end action. Like the other rebel league (AFL), offense was king and defense took a major back seat.
Interesting reading but I'm still looking for the definative work on the WHA. Either I haven't found it or it doesn't exist.
