I liked the whole concept behind Death Troopers - zombies and Star Wars - so when this book came up on my WL, I figured the whole 3600 year old prequel thing would be a good read, too. On the whole, I enjoyed it but wish it was longer and a bit more fleshed out (pun intended); 272 pages is barely a start for many Star Wars novels. This book had a great mix of characters. although a few could've had bit more depth to them. (For instance, although he is a main character in the novel, we know almost nothing about Darth Scabrous when we reach the last page.) Also, I thought every Jedi was trained to fight as part of even the original Jedi Academy... What self-respecting Jedi would be without his/her lightsaber? Lastly, I did enjoy the bit of a twist at the end, which rarely seems to happen in the Star Wars universe any more, which these days seems much more about setting up the next book - or series of books. This one rates 4 out 5 lightsabers...
This book for me was the ultimate star wars for story. it was filled with all kinds of twists and turns and interesting characters with your easily disposed of this still a lot of fun to read I'm not much on horror but combining the two genres Star Wars in horror. Was a lot of fun. I think this one was better than death troopers.
