I loved this book! The author appears to have done lots of research, the plot is plausible, characters seem real. Most of all, the conditions and story seem rooted in historical accuracy of the times. Recommend this book, and have already passed on my copy to another PBS member.

I waited a long time to get this book off my wish list and it was so worth it. I loved it! Great story of a quaker family who were conductors on the Underground Railroad. Beautifully written and a joy to read Highly recommend!

INCREDIBLE!!!! Ever since I was a child, I have found stories of the underground railroad fascinating. This book was amazing. Parts of the book took place where I live so naturally I was intrigued. The author had the geographical locations exact. The villages are little known. My goodness, it was wonderful to read about the locations where I live. I loved the characters and the story line kept flowing. I hope Judith Redline Coopey writes many more books about the underground railroad. I hated for the story to end.

this book could not hold my interest past the second chapter . I just could not read it . I don't really know why but to me boring was the first thing to come to my mind .
