The Reluctant Dragon
Author: I. M. Richardson, I.M. Richardson, Marlene Ekman
Everyone knows that since a Dragon IS a Dragon and St. George IS St. George, there will have to be a fight. Everyone, that is, except the Dragon. He'd rather write poetry. This wonderful, whimsical story is by the author of The Wind In The Willows. Performed by John and Ginny Dildine, with Gordon Bok as the Dragon.

In this story, a boy and a dragon become friends. The town discovers the dragon and want the dragon gone. The town members make up stories about the dragon that aren't true and get a dragon slayer. The boy comes up with an idea to keep the dragon safe. The book has really nice illustrations and makes us think twice about judging people.
