This has to be one of the worst books I have ever (forced) myself to read. It starts out okay but quickly becomes very boring and stupid. I thought he would use the money to make his life exciting but instead turns his life into a deja vu nightmare. The way he wasted his money to recreate his BORING past memories was torture to read. I thought it sounded good when I read the description....started to question the book part way through....had to reread the glowing reviews more closely to see if the author wrote them himself. In the end I scanned through the last 20-30 pages just to get it over with. Save yourself the bother.....Do Not Read This Book ~Do not waste the credit!

Beautifully well written book, but it reads like a study: as if the author has set up an absurd but interesting situation in order to work it out to the end. Still, a fascinating journey through brain damage and the search for perfection no matter what the cost.
I've only read 1/3 of the book so far and I find it totally fascinating. I do not like fiction to just entertain, I want fiction to widen my awareness and knowledge. This one is definitely doing that. I am very interested in neuropsychology and brain damage: so this book is one of the best fiction I have ever read so far that deals with the issue. Intelligently and deeply and in most unusual ways. May try to add to the review after I finish the book, which may or many not be possible
This book was so different, i couldnt even finish it.
