Great forensic mystery with likeable characters and an interesting plot. I hope these authors turn this into a series!!!

Enjoyable.

The science was good, but the character development was lacking. It relied too much on product placement to determine character, as if the fact you wear Prada shoes says all you need to know about the character.

Very good read; short on details but very fast pace & I couldn't put it down

For a first book this is an easy read with potentially interesting characters and forensic/legal information. The Badens almost trick you with the 'who-done-it' but I forgive them. They are new to this after all. I got this, their first, because I saw that they have a new one out - which I will read with eager interest.

Great book could not put it down
When a body is found beneath a construction site near the Catskill Mountains, New York City deputy chief medical examiner Jake Rosen is called to the scene, where he meets his match: Philomena "Manny" Manfreda, a beautiful crusading attorney. Together they stumble upon a decades-old mystery involving a long-shuttered mental institution, shocking medical experiments and a troubled love affair.

I have just finished this book and enjoyed it a lot. The combination of the pathologist and attorney with a major fashion sense is a good one. I hope this couple write a lot more of these. The book implies that there are more to come, but no others are mentioned
