Having read all of Sophie Kinsella books thus far, I knew that I could expect a story that would make me laugh, make me frustrated, and make me care about the characters. But, I didn't realize that while all of these expectations were met, I would find more. The characters are more complex than I've seen in her books before, while keeping the hilarity and the emotion. There is a lovely romance going on here, but it is not the point of the book really, it's more about Lexi finding herself. Not really who she was or who she has become in those 3 years, but who she is (and wants to be) deep down. I really identified with that idea, and was so engrossed that I stayed up all night to read the book in one sitting. I was exhausted the next day at work after staying up until 3am to read, but it was well worth it!

This is another great book by Sophie Kinsella! In this book, you will meet a likeable character named Lexi who wakes up with retrograde amnesia. It is very interesting as she tries to piece together her life. She wakes up to find she is married, she looks totally different and all her friends have deserted her. She has to learn who and what to believe about her life.

I absolutely loved this book. I could not put it down. It is very interesting to see how she slowly puts her life back together.

Definitely Recommended!!

Another great book from the writings of Sophie Kinsella. I finished this book in less than 48 hours and couldn't get enough.

A story about Lexi, a girl who wakes up with amnesia and has to learn her life all over again. Well, at least the past three years anyway. She realizes that she has secrets, and has made enemies. She also has a new physcial appearance.

This book will make you laugh and will make you addicted. A must read. Everyone should pick this book up and read it from start to finish.

I loved this book. :) A fun, easy read that will keep you turning the pages.

Lexi is a warm, likeable character, much like Becky Bloomwood from the Shopaholic series. Funny story, with lots of laugh-out-loud moments. I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next. Highly recommended!

This was the first Sophie Kinsella book that I have read and it was quite good. It is about a woman who wakes up in a hospital remembering nothing of the past 3 years of her life. She finds out that she is married and lives in a beautiful loft and .....I wouldn't want to spoil the ending. :) Have fun reading this book.

Another lighthearted easy to absorb book by Kinsella. Funny story with its little twists and embedded moral thoughts/decisions to figure out. Kinsella continues to give us characters that make us smile, sometimes makes us moan as she tries to rise above her mentality which is always underestimated! All in all, quick read that doesn't disappointed those looking for a happy ending with a slight twist. Great airplane book as you can complete by the time you land!

The reviewers before me honestly said it all. This is another great book by Sophie Kinsella written in the same quick read manner as her Shopaholic series. The plot is very similar to the amnesia, Ryan Lavery, "All My Children" character, is suffering from. Only the last few years are omitted from the memory.

Is this possibly another series in the making? I think it may be. There is more to find out about Lexi Smart, the main character in the novel.

This is my first book by Sophie Kinsella. It is about a woman who gets amnesia and can't remember the previous 3 years of her life. She realizes that she is a completely different person - she has a great career, a husband and a wonderful life. She tries to figure it out who she is now, and if what she thought she wanted is really what she wants now. A great book - sometimes makes you laugh out loud and other times, frustrates you. I look forward to grabbing another Sophie Kinsella's books to try out.

My first book I've read by Sophie. Really interesting. Though whenever Lexi would utter a cuss word it just seemed out of character for me and those small parts would kind of jerk me back to reality and away from the book. I felt like Sophie could have easily used other words besides cuss words to explain the character's feelings and it would have fit in a lot better.

This was a page turner though and I did enjoy it. The story is easy to follow along with the characters, and it sets itself up to either be a stand alone book if we want it to be, or it could easily become a series. Rather interesting. A good read for those wanting to explore Sophie's writing style.

I listened to this as an audio book. This is the only audio book that I've gotten so hooked on that I took it out of the vehicle to play it inside! Absolutely hilarious! At first, it reminded me a lot of the TV series "Samantha Who?" and Rosalee reminds me so much of Samantha's flakey friend on the show. The book is about a young woman who, at 25, has a horrible appearance (bad teeth, bad hair, overweight), an okay job, a bad boyfriend, and just lost her father (he passed away). She goes out clubbing, hits her head and wakes up in the hospital. Actually, she wakes up into a completely different life where her life is now "perfect." She is told she has amnesia and cannot recall anything from the past 3 years. They need to make a movie out of this book because it is funny, charming, and heartfelt. I absolutely LOVED it!

If you've seen the movie "13 Going on 30" or read the book "This Body" by Laurel Doud, you will recognize the plot of this book, but it is still entertaining and a very quick read.

Lexie Smart is unhappy with her job, looks, and love life when she is involved in traffic accident. When she wakes up, she thinks it's the next morning, but it's actually 3 years later and she is gorgeous, thin, has perfect teeth (snaggletooth is completely gone), has a rich husband, an unbelievable high power job and a gorgeous lover on the side. But is she happy? And how did this all come about?

Sophie Kinsella continues to delight her fans with her amusing dialogues between characters and her lovable heroines. This is not as good as the Shopaholic series but as long as you know the plotline is not original, you will still enjoy it.

Reading time - one sitting.

This book really gets your imagination going. Imagine waking up in the hospital after an accident and finding that you have amnesia. The last thing you remember about yourself is your sorry looks and crappy job and simple apartment. You find now you are married and successful but don't know how it happened. I loved this book and will read it again. It's a keeper and won't be on my booklist. I love Sophie Kinsella's writing but it's nice to read something from her that is not predictable. It's funny and makes you think about what it would feel like if it were you.

Lexi is an average girl, with an average life, great friends and a decent job...until she gets a bump on the head. She wakes up in the hospital to discover...her whole life has changed!

Once again Sophie Kinsella has managed to create a true feel good story with a mess of a main character that you can't help but love. She intertwines reality and fantasy so well that I find myself anxious to sneak off to bed and read instead of watch T.V....and that is saying something!

I'm only giving this book 3-1/2 stars because I didn't like at least half the characters, but it was well written and kept me involved and interested. The characters in the previous books I'd read by Sophie Kinsella were very likeable for the most part and I loved the two I'd read before so overall I really like this author and she's good at capturing emotions and feelings and relationships and I enjoy that kind of book. I'm glad this book had the ending it did or i would have been very disappointed, so thank you Sophie.

Another good book from Sophie Kinsella! This book took me a little bit of time to really get into, but in the end it was worth the read. It's a good story, but not the best work of Kinsella. I usually really like Ms. Kinsella's charectors but in this story I just wanted to shake them all and tell them, "SPEAK UP and clear the air!" But in all honesty I think that was the point. The book is a good read if you like your charectors talking in circles which does cause a few funny moments. If not try one of Ms. Kinsella's other books like Shopaholic or Can you keep a secret?.

On the heels of reading [book:Can You Keep a Secret?|33724], this book was a major disappointment.

Junior assistant Lexi Smart has a car accident and wakes up with complete amnesia. The last thing she remembers happened 3 years ago and now she has the perfect executive job, the most gorgeous husband imaginable, a stunning penthouse apartment, a housekeeper, and the perfect body and face. The only problem is that she doesn't remember how she got to this most perfect place. Erik, the perfect husband...NOT, is seriously OCD and anal retentive besides. He actually pens a marriage manual to help her remember their life with sections on being neat, sex (when, what and how often), etc.

The premise is excellent but I just didn't like the characters and I hated Erik. With her bitch boss attitude, Lexi alienated all of her friends at work and now she's trying way too hard to get them back. Her pathetic attitude got on my every last nerve. The only characters I actually liked were Fiona and John. In the last 100 pages or so, Lexi finally takes back her life and becomes the person she was before she became the bitch boss from hell. There were moments of humor especially from her delinquent sister Amy but for the most part this book is majorly depressing.

This was a good book, just not really a favorite for myself. The husband was too out of touch and there wasn't anything remotely good about his character. I know we weren't supposed to like him, but his character was just ridiculous. Which made the main character and the fact taht she had married him a little less likable. This of course, is my opinion. Not my favorite Kinsella and I've read almost everyone of her books.

This book is a quick and easy read that leaves you with that feel-good feeling at the end. It is fun to re-discover the main character's missing years right along with her, and the journey that she takes in getting there is both humorous and heart-wrenching.
