I am trying to remember the title/author of a paperback book from the seventies.  The book was based on genetic alteration of a young man and woman (the woman is the daughter of a very wealthy owner of a company.  They are to work/live on a planet for mining for some period of time.  It turns out that the owner plans to kill them at the end of the planned term.  They use the resources of the planet to fight back (twisted metal like reeds for arrows, etc).  The book ends with them marooned on the planet.  Seems like they had golden or bronze skin from the genetic mutation to be able to live on the planet.  Not a lot to go on, I know, but that's about all I remember.  Thanks for any help.

It's been a long time since I read it so I don't remember much of the plot, but it kinda sounds like King of Argent.
