Not so bad as not to finish but the main character has to be one of the most annoying I have ever come across. I am used to amateur sleuths going head to head with the local law but this one pushes it to the extreme. And, outright defies her new boss jeopardizing a job she desperately needs and unnecessarily causing friction between her best friend and the friend's mother....who happens to be her new boss. She comes across as impetuous and defiant...like a stubborn 5 year old. Highly doubt I will bother with book two.
