From back cover - this bilingual edition of the chilean poet Pable Neruda's "Residence on Earth" brought the collection together in its entirety for the first time in English. Considered by many critics to be the 1971 Nobel laureate's most important work, it was originally published in Spanish in three successive volumes (1933, 1935, & 1947) of which the last had never before been fully translated.
