Resolutions have never worked out for me too well. I've tended to be too extreme. That in turn caused me to break my resolutions and disheartened me. Before I knew it, I had forgotten all about them. So this year I decided to approach things a little differently. For 2009 I've decided to focus on two major goals. 1: I plan to focus on my health. I plan to do this by becoming more physically active and by eating more healthy foods. I am not restricting myself from ANYTHING. I am just going to try to eat less of the bad things and much less often. 2: I have always wanted to learn to play guitar. This year I bought a wonderful guitar course on DVD. I am going to practice 20 to 30 minutes per day at least five days per week. If I miss a day here and there, I'm just going to get back on the program. I am hoping that by choosing to focus on these two items for the entire year, that success will come over time. Resolutions just seemed to imply failure from the get-go. So if your not a big fan of resolutions, just pick out what you would like to focus on. We can all do that!
