A sweet romance that has no bad language and is an easy read. A Christian type of romance.

This was a really good book set in Pennsylvania's Amish country. Its about a woman who is in search of her roots. Fiona is a nurse midwife in San Francisco and has had a less than wonderful upbringing. She takes a leap of faith and decides to find her roots, which lead her to Crossroads Township, PA. Her fathers family is Mennonite and she has been in contact with them for some while via letters, but he mothers family is Amish and she has never had any contact with them. Deciding to stay in the area and open her own practice, she is at first irritated with Ted Rittenhouse, the local law enforcement. But soon she comes to rely on him not only for friendship but for help in fitting in with the community. This book reads more like a woman's journey with a little romance thrown in, than a flat out romance, but is still a wonderful read.

A heartwarming story about a woman looking for a new start and finding her family roots. Fiona, the center of the story, finds a new life, her family and of course, a new love, along the way. A quick read.

I don't normally read Christian romances, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But I really enjoyed this book. It was very sweet and interesting. I was really drawn into the characters' lives and felt moved by them. I would definitely recommend Restless Hearts!

A search for her roots brought midwife Fiona Flanagan to Pennsylvania Dutch country-and made her wonder whether she should turn back. The area's mixture of Amish and English culture confused her, and her first encounter with local police chief Ted Rittenhouse didn't help. He'd thought she was breaking into her own office!
Despite the misunderstanding, Fiona could see that Ted's tough-as-nails exterior hid a kind soul-one caught between two worlds, seeking a place to belong. She felt the same, but trusting him with her heart would require the biggest step of faith she had ever taken.

Good read. I enjoyed the reading about 2 so different sisters and their ambitions. The way women of rank were treated was appalling and Henry was really the monster he has been portrayed as. Absolute power is absolutely corrupting. Fascinating.

A heartwarming story that adds to our love and understanding of our Amish friends.
