Much more about the British campaigns (in Burma) than I am used to reading about. I had never heard of the British General Slim. Author is not a big fan of Mao, using lots of disparaging phrases like "their kind" when referring to Westerners who had a high opinion of Mao and the communists during the war. A fair amount of first hand accounts from the Asian soldiers.
