This is a gripping read. Hard to put down. It mostly plays out in the present 20+ years after the disappearance of Claire's little sister. I was dying to know what happened and who was responsible. The characters are compelling from a loving family trying to cope with such a tragic event to friends and family carrying secrets locked up for years. A page turning thriller and a satisfying read.

I was less impressed by the book than our 2 other readers. I did figure most of it out as I went along.
Still, I recommend it for a snowy day's read.
