This book was riveting and I read at every opportunity. And then I almost gave up with 10 pages to go because Hugh Glass left character.

First off, the book and movie are completely different in some areas so if you've seen the movie you may be disappointed in the book details BUT if you've read the book and haven't seen the movie then the movie could prove the better venue. The book follows Hugh glass as he battles his way back from a near death encounter with a grizzly bear. Abandoned by two members of his party who are left behind to give him a decent burial they not only abandon him but take all his possessions too. The journey that Glass makes to find and eventually mete out his justice makes up the bulk of this book. Quick read that will keep you entertained.

This book was like the movie, EXCEPT, there is no son!
