I really enjoyed this book. The main character is very believable. The story is very complete throughout which is satisfying. The best book I've read in a while. It does give you pause to examine your own life, past-present-future.

My first time reading a Maryann McFadden book and was pleasantly surprised at how good this book was....the story pulls you right in and you feel like you are right there with the characters. McFadden writes with a lot of warmth and depth. Really enjoyed this book and will look for more of her books in the future!

Maryann McFadden is a new author for me...this is a bitter sweet read..changes in a woman's life as many of you are today..it looks not just from the woman point of view but also from the man's view...which was interesting to read...the seasons of our lives...good read if you are going to the beach...
