This was a good, albeit short, adventure. Obi-Wan was pretty in character, especially for a child, and Qui-Gon was a little 2D. The story mainly happens on a ship taking Obi-Wan, who believes he will never be a Jedi after some bullying antics ruined his chance at Jedi-ship. There Obi-Wan learns that in order to help people, sometimes you have to think of them first instead of your own needs. The way that Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan develop a bond is a bit thin, but this is a book that is meant for younger children who don't care too much about depth.
If you're looking for depth, this isn't a book for you. It's meant to help children love reading and want to read more. It's fantastic to help younger kids learn to love reading. It's these types of books that helped me when I was younger. Other than that, it's a decent read for an older teen or young adult or a Star Wars fan.
