This is a really good book. It is about a new kid (high school) who moves to a small town. He befriends one of the local boys and they train together as runners. At the big meet at the end they have to compete against each other. The language is clean and appropriate for middle school & high schoolers.

Teen or preteen book. Back cover talks about two runners bound by running and loneliness. This book is about friendship and growing up.
