I do enjoy Thomas Keneally's work, and this story. The characters are brilliant, the setting in New South Wales, Australia at the turn of the last century is vivid. I liked this book very much!

Very well written, engrossing, funny, poignant. Some of the language and politics and history were unfamiliar to me, so struggled a bit with that, but overall a really good read
