This book and Humble Pie are the same thing!!! From his dad, soccor, becoming a chef, to Tana's pregnancy --same book!

You will understand Gordon a whole lot more after reading this book. Why he joined football aka soccer to start with, why he got into cooking (this was kind of shocking really to learn why) how horrible family life was to him, and what has driven him to this day to be the best of the best.

It's an amazing story and you'll never look at Gordon the same again (especially when you watch him on Hell's Kitchen..which when you read the book..you will find out has been signed on for 5 seasons! Two more seasons left!!)

Lovely !

I rarely read a biography almost impossible to put down. There is an honest way of writing there and you will learn about Gordon as a child until now and you really will understand what drove him to the top and keeps him reaching higher.

I now understand his temper and why he sometimes is the chef he is. There is a man that climbed from washing the dishes up to a multi millionaire. Worked his ass literally off in the worlds most famous kitchens, treated like a piece of you know what. The man is adorable inside and outside.

What a great deal he has overcome! A wonderful telling of a rags to riches life that started with a horrible childhood. He has overcome so much to become who he is today. I feel I now more fully understand why he seeks perfection in all those he comes in contact with - why he is driven to succeed and wants all around him to succeed also.

Surprisingly bland autobiography of Gordon, plenty of spicy language, but none of the passion and verve of, say, a Tony Bourdain book.

I love Gordon Ramsay. He has a real passion for life and it shows in his writing and everything he does.
