Michael Brandman, Robert B. Parker's latest living stand-in author of the Jesse Stone books does a pretty good job with this story, even if the other other main story line is pretty darned lame (nursing home villains...really?). Brandman handles Stone's character MUCH better than the previous stand-in authors, who were awful on faithfully representing the Parker take of the characters, story lines, etc. I'd like to read more of Brandman's Stone stories, but with either more compelling side story lines or, just ONE story line done very well.

Not quite the same story or persona. Not a bad story, but I have never found anyone writes true to the original authors idea(s).

I really enjoyed this book! Of course I'm a huge Jesse Stone fan. I had a hard time putting it down so I got it read in like two days. Michael Brandman did a good job and I'm looking forward to more books.

Not much story, it's more like filler. You flip the pages rapidly because there's nothing there.
"Yes"
"No," she said.
"You're sure.'
"Yes, How's it going?"
"Hard to tell. But I may be on to something," Jesse said
"Do you want to tell me about it?"
"Not just yet."
And on it goes
"Yes"
