Although published as non-fiction, there is now some question as to the authenticity of this work. A fictional account of this author's experience with yet another author (Armistad Maupin) has been published (by Maupin) under the title *The Night Listener*.

I read this book many years ago when it first came out and thought it was incredible. This was a story of strength and survival and touched a sensitive subject of it times.
Wonderful story! Extreamly interesting! Uplifting!
