Cute premise - fun read! I enjoyed the author's writing style (even the mysterious alliterations she throws in without reference). There's a lot of story in this book - could have easily been a series of novels. Very enjoyable!
Really cute story about a DIY designer working on a dating/room makeover show.
One of my all-time, favorite, chick lit books. Very funny, great story, nice break from typical chick lit.
This heroine is no delicate flower and definitely does not feel sorry for herself.
Stacy's crazy characters, they MUST be based on her real life experience. Nobody can be THAT creative! Stacey also endeavors some alternative ways of story telling with Lily's Rules, Bravo Swap/Meet Synopses, Blackberry exchanges, and Video Diary confessions. I love it! It keeps things interesting.
However, as cute as the job side of the story was, the personal side was really disappointing. The main character downplays her own size but definitely notices the "package"-size of a series of boyfriends. She feels embarrassed about a one night stand but then goes on to more. The F word is just to much when more discriptives used can be had. I'm definitely not a prude, and I really like chicklit, but, to me, this just seemed crude.
I will think twice about her other books.

I loved the characters in this book and the way Stacey wrote about them. I felt like I knew Lily and all of her friends. That could have been my friends that she was writing about, they were down to earth and REAL!!
Stacey has such an entertaining way of telling a story. . .I could not put this book down!! I was definitely laughing out loud throughout the book.
If you like Jen Lancaster books, you'll like this one - very similar in writing style and feel.
