First of all, you must read The Wrath and the Dawn first or you will be completely lost. Ripped apart at the end of the first book, Shazi and Khalid must fight to break the curse that has terrorized Khorasan. This was a very satisfying sequel. It adds so much depth to the original story. Not only does the reader get to see how the relationship between Khalid and Shazi has evolved, but we also get to see more of Shazi's former life. I loved Khalid's interactions with her sister. Overall, a very satisfying sequel.
This is the second book in The Wrath and the Dawn duology. This was an amazing book and an excellent conclusion to this fantasy series. I really loved this duology a lot. It was so engaging, entertaining, and easy to read.
Shahrzad and Khalid have been separated, but must figure out how to break the curse that has been put on Khalid and save Khalid's kingdom once and for all.
The story was very engaging, fast-paced and impossible to put down. I loved all the characters in here, even the side characters. This book had excellent world-building, action, romance, and a plot that kept me engaged.
Overall this was an amazing book and I really enjoyed this series as a whole. I would recommend to those who enjoy fantasy with a bit of romance in it.
