This is the second book I have read by this author and I have enjoyed them both...immensely!! The other book was The Penny. She is now on my list of fav. authors and I will be ordering more of her books in the future. Yes, I highly recommend it.

A quick read as you don't want to put it down. It's about love, forgiveness and God's longsuffering patience and mercy.

This book was a real surprise for me. I had never read a book by Deborah Bedford, but I plan to read her others now. I wanted to skip to the end to find out why the son left home. I never guessed the surprise ending until I read it. The author has a real talent for keeping your interest while telling a story of human frailness and strength.

Every Summer vistors come to Bea's home in Ash Hollow, Nebraska, to see the historic yellow rosebush that had been a famous trail marker for wagons on their way west.
And every night Bea prays she will find a special face among those at her door. Then she gets crushing news that her son who ran away yrs ago has been killed.
Overwhelmed by grief - and a bitterness as hard as steel - she has no welcome in her heart for the woman and child who soon show up at her door... and no room for them in her life.
Loved this story so much I kept my copy for my personal library. A great read!
