What can I say, Rosemary's Baby is a classic. I've read the book when I was young and saw the movie when older, so this offered a walk down memory lane along with a great horror story. Rosemary's Baby is a story of a young married couple who are offered an apartment in one of Manhattan's Upper West Side dream buildings. Of course they have to take it! It's almost immediate when strange things start happening, from the odd, older tenants to a seemingly happy and hopeful young woman jumping to her death from an upper-story window. And we won't mention how Guy is surprisingly offered the lead role in a play when the main actor is stricken blind. It just gets better and better from there. Who's sold their soul to the Devil and who, actually is the Devil? Hmmm...
One must remember that the story is based in the late 1960s, so there are no cell phones, etc., but you really don't miss our modern conveniences in this story. Also, in the unabridged audio CD book, Mia Farrow reads the story for us. I'm not sure WHY they have her do it, because seriously, she sucks, but my guess is it's because she played "Rosemary" in the movie. If you can get past that, you'll enjoy the audio book.
