I have to agree with many of the reviewers regarding this book. I think it was much more pleasant to listen to, however, than read. I almost stopped at disk 3, though. At that point the missed opportunities and frustrating situations really started to get to me. I mean, when were these two going to actually make it work? But, I kept plowing on, and by disk 4 I was enjoying things again.
I read one review on Amazon that said this is a story about the ordinary things that happen in life, and maybe that's why it was so frustrating at times. Part of me wanted a fairy tale. Looking back, though, I have to say that Rosie and Alex made some of the same stupid decisions that I've made, and others I know. The difference is that Rosie, in particular, seemed to learn from them!
I'm not sure this is a book I would want to read over and over, or listen to again, but it was an interesting one for a one-time experience.

WONDERFUL audio book. It was so much fun to have different readers for the different characters, and it was an enjoyable story. I highly recommend this one.

This was a great book...It's structured as being all emails, letter, cards, etc. I had to get used to reading a book like that, but it was worth it. Very funny, just a great story and Rosie and Alex and their lives. I recommend!

The story was cute- done almost completely in letters, notes, & e-mails between the characters. It was a different touch & the settings in Ireland & Boston were fresh too. I
got a bit frustrated with the characters sometimes, but I guess that's just a part of the dramatic tension. Overall enjoyable.
