Roxaboxen
Author: Alice McLerran, Barbara Cooney (Illustrator)
It was just like any rocky hill -- sand and rocks and some old wooden boxes. But we called it Roxaboxen and it was a town all our own. It was a special place to us -- anything could happen, and often did.

Good story. The place is now a park, I'm sure because of this book, and they've taken away any rusty cars. Some people can't leave good enough alone.

This book is one of my favorites of all time! The kids love it and I love it! As soon as we were done reading the book for the first time, my kids started planning out their own imaginary town they would make outside. :)
