First, the disclaimer. "I was provided a free copy of this book. All opinions are my own." That done, A ROYAL CHRISTMAS WEDDING is the latest in Ms. Hauck's The Royal Wedding Series, and it is really good. At first I wondered about how the prologue tied into the story, because it didn't seem to fit in with the first chapter, but by the second chapter things became a bit clearer.

The story started slow and I didn't really care much about Avery at first, but she grew on me. And Colin was a sweetheart, even if he was a royal :) and I wondered how come and why he would ring the bells in the old cathedral belltower, so I had to keep reading until he did... or didn't... or well, read the book to find out who rang the tower bells and why.

And then I had to keep reading to find out *how* and *if* ........

All in all a spellbinding book that held me captive until the end. I did enjoy this book by Ms. Hauck and if you like royals and Christmas then you will love it. Pick up your copy today.

It's been five years since Avery Truitt has seen or heard from Prince Colin. Although she's tried, her heart just can't seem to forget him. She's recently lost her father and nothing seems the same at home without him. Then her sister Susanna invites Avery and her mother to Brighton Kingdom for Christmas. Avery knows she'll see Colin and is hoping to find out what happened, why he cut her off. Colin however, appears to have moved on, with a beautiful model at his side. But all is not what it seems and when Colin and Avery finally see each other again, they find their connection is still very strong. When a prayer of Colin's is answered in an unusual way he must decide whether to follow the path of his earthly father or his heavenly father.

I absolutely LOVED this story for its enchanting characters and the whole magic of Christmas in Brighton not to mention that it's very romantic. Although I've enjoyed the entire series, I must confess that this is my favorite. The Bell Ringing tradition was really fun and I loved how it was integrated into the story. Prince Colin and Avery were both charming and I LOVED the chemistry between them. The snappy dialog (which was honest and realistic) had me turning pages at light speed and kept me up way past my bedtime. I appreciated the sound advice that King Nathanial gave to Colin when he went to talk to him about his dilemma. This is definitely going on the keeper shelf'. There really wasn't anything I didn't like about the book, except that it came to an end. So grab you hot cocoa, sit back and relax because you are in for a royal treat. I highly recommend you attend A Royal Christmas Wedding!

A few favorite quotes:

"This is a great charity. Studies have shown people are more likely to have price in themselves when they can purchase gifts with money they've earned."

"I'm just saying when a man loves a woman he'll move heaven and earth to be with her."

"Sad thing about losing your parent is a door to your childhood closes. One you didn't even know was open."

A Royal Christmas Wedding by Rachel Hauck is the fourth book in the Royal Wedding series. Avery Truitt as well as her mother, Glo are dealing with the loss of her father in St. Simons Island, Georgia. Susanna, her sister, invites them to spend Christmas in Brighton Kingdom where she lives with her husband, King Nathaniel III. Glo is glad to get away from the memories and is excited to see Susanna (she is pregnant). Avery is not as excited. It has been five years since she has seen Prince Colin Tattersall. They were in love with each other, but Colin broke off their relationship very suddenly (and without a decent explanation). Avery has tried to get over him, but how do you forget your one true love.

There is a special tradition in Brighton Kingdom that has not been observed in 182 years. At the end of the Harvest Celebration, just after the last bell rings at midnight, a man in love can ring the Pembroke Chapel Bell. He is announcing his intention to woo and marry a woman on Christmas morning. Colin has been following the path his father set out for him for the last five years. But he is still in love with Avery. He is in the bell tower just before midnight and says a prayer. The Pembroke Bell then rings by itself. This is the sign Colin needed, and he sets out to win Avery. But Avery does not wish to come between Colin and his father. Will there be a happily ever after this Christmas for these two love birds?

A Royal Christmas Wedding is a sweet, predictable romance novel. I did not know this book was part of a series when I decided to read it (discovered it after I started reading the novel). It did not hinder my reading enjoyment. A Royal Christmas Wedding can be read alone. The author provides the reader with the information they need to understand and enjoy the story. The novel is nicely written, has engaging characters, good historical element, steamy romance, and has a nice Christian element. I give A Royal Christmas Wedding 4 out of 5 stars (I have to admit that I liked it). The epilogue wraps up the series with a bow.
