A historical novel about a little known period of Danish history. If you liked "The Other Bolyn" or "The Queen's Fool" by Phillipa Gregory then you will love this.

Although the premise of the book seemed interesting, I couldn't get into it. I quit reading after the first chapter. The prose reads like someone's rambling thoughts - not to the point, very unexciting.

This is a luminous, time-bending historical novel. It is an elegantly written love-story and tragedy embedded within a wretched political system.

This was an interesting story, but it didn't quite flow well for me. There are some graphic sex/ murder scenes if that interests you. I'd say this book was ok.
