Lovely writing...but forgetable for me. The perfect book to get through this site!

Beautifully told, a lovely mix of historical romance and a great vampire story. Would read again.

I cou8ld put down the book. Kept me suspense the whole time I was reading the book.
I am a big fan of Ms. Hunter's (and I guess we have to be disappointed sooner or later) but this love story felt cold to me. Alexia just seemed so matter-of-fact about everything almost to the point of robotic. To little, if any emotion.
And I really disliked that Hayden's honorable deeds are never brought to light to anyone other than Alexia. Several main characters hate him and his public image remains tarnished. Maybe Lord Elliott's story will be back on track. =)

I enjoyed this book thoroughly. M.Hunters medievals were always excellent, but her regency era books seem to live up to that precedent. There is plenty of character and relationship building in this story.
