Loved this well written story of love, betrayal, friendship, marriage and desperation. It alternated telling the story from each character's viewpoint, including the town itself, since the town started and perpetrated the rumors that turned everyone's life upside down. This is,in my opinion the best Hilderbrand book to date!

I loved this book. A really fun beach read, nothing heavy for my mind. Everyone caught up in the town's secrets. Everyone hiding things from others. I love how the story is told from different people's points of view-and besides the characters, Nantucket tells it's side too!

I enjoyed this book. I enjoyed all the characters and wanted the best for them. I was sad that it ended so abruptly though. I wanted a little more information about the characters. I wanted Madeline to publish her book

Without exception, I have loved all of the previous Erin Hilderbrand books. They are generally about women's relationships with an occasional romance thrown in. This book I did not love as much. Most of the characters we relatively unlikable. Right from the start it did not catch my interest. I stuck with it to see how the tangled mess would get resolved but it was not on the same level as her other novels, for me.
