I enjoyed all of this series of books.
A respected senator from Georgia is thrust onto the national stage with more than one opponet who wants him out of the race. He's become the target of enemies from his past who want him dead.

It's filled with the usual dirty politics and mud slinging as well as a person from Will's past that has a grudge to settle with him.
The book was just an o.k. read for me in as much as I really didn't care for the main character at all and found myself more interested in the assassins story line and actually started rooting for him towards the end.
