Stuart Woods is one of my favorite authors. He brings back one of his most popular characters, Will Lee, in a stunning thriller of politics, power, passion and revenge.

Next to the Alex Cross series, this continuation of his greatest piece of work (my opinion)CHIEFS .

Georgia Senator Will Lee is given a terrific opportunity to make a run for the presidency when he is told by the current Vice President that they would not be campaigning for it. The Run gives a glossed over account of what a presidential run is like from the beginning to Election Day. It's filled with the usual dirty politics and mud slinging as well as a person from Will's past that has a grudge to settle with him.
The book was just an o.k. read for me in as much as I really didn't care for the main character at all and found myself more interested in the assassins story line and actually started rooting for him towards the end.

A respected senator from Georgia, Will Lee has loftier aspirations. But a cruel stroke of fate thrusts him onto the national stage unexpectedly, and long before he's ready for a national campaign.

The road to the White House will be more treacherousâand deadlyâthan Will can imagine. A courageous and principled man thrust into the spotlight, he suddenly finds himself the target of clandestine enemies who will use all their money and influence to stop him . . . dead.

Now Will Lee isn't just running for president, he's running for his life.
