Extraordinary watercolor illustrations as La Noche Triste is told from the Aztlan point of view. The bloody sacrifices of this people who are so revered by many of the immigrants to California since the Immigration Act of 1965 are mentioned in passing. Rough streets here now, I was roundly cursed in Spanish by one such immigrant while in uniform last Sunday afternoon, while I waited for the bus on Fourth Street, near Broadway.
