The book was very interesting. It told about the people who were involved in the first crisis war that were major players in the Iraq war today. Opens your eyes to a lot of things that you might have not known.

Written during the first Gulf War, this exploration of the history and politics of the Middle East might seem dated, but it provides insight into the seeds of today's conflict. While little light is actually shed on Saddam Hussein, the political background is very valuable.
