I really enjoyed this book. The author's long career as a romantic novelist show in the effortless flow of her personal story. It is an understated account of some amazing accomplishments by two working class English girls -- from crossing the ocean in order to listen to one of their favorite divas to smuggling jewelry out of Germany in order that the refugees would have funds to live on if they could get out. It was an inspirational read and I highly recommend it.
