Book Description Bit:

Since the death of her husband, Anne Dunne and her three children have struggled in every way. In a last ditch effort to save the family, Anne plans an elaborate sailing vacation to bring everyone together once again. But only an hour out of port, everything is going wrong. The teenage daughter, Carrie, is planning to drown herself. The teenage son, Mark, is high on drugs and ten-year-old Ernie is nearly catatonic. This is the worst vacation ever.

Anne manages to pull things together bit by bit, but just as they begin feeling like a family again, something catastrophic happens. Survival may be the least of their concerns.

Written with the blistering pace and shocking twists that only James Patterson can master, SAIL takes "Lost" and "Survivor" to a new level of terror.

WOW!! Yet another hit novel!! Read it one day because I literally could not put it down ... kept saying, Oh I have to read just one more chapter and before I knew it, there were no more!! The plot and cast of characters just sucks you in from page one and never lets you go, with twists and turns at every corner. This is classic Patterson ...

James Patterson once again, leaves you in a haunting story, forcing you to race through the pages to discover how the story will end. I truly enjoyed this book which I began reading in a library on the West Coast, but fortunately was able to finish it on the East Coast.
The story takes you through the anguish of a family still reeling from the death of the patriarch, with each family member handling their anguish and grief in a different manner. The mother, decides that the family needs to unite and chooses a sailing voyage as their method of staying together. The story has its twists and turns, but will leave you feeling satisfied upon conclusion...
