Wonderful book. Douglas Adams' sense of humour is so wonderfully dry, and so uniquely him. And he isn't talking about science fiction here, either, unlike his more popular series' of books, but rather events that have actually transpired, all with his own wonderful twist. And the fact that these are his final writings, found after his death on his home computer, just make it even better :)

Any fan of Douglas Adams should read this book. It is hilarious and well written, and it gives you intriguing glimpses into the the author's mind that you just can't get any other way. After reading this book, Adams's other works instantly became more interesting because I knew WHY he included certain things and where his inspiration came from. For example, in his first Dirk Gently novel, the main character realizes that Bach's musical masterpieces are actually the sound of life itself - this is because Douglas Adams adored Bach with a passion. Little insights like that make his other books entirely more enjoyable.

I really enjoyed seeing these stories and articles. While not on par with his normal stories that is only because they are incomplete. That is a shame really. I enjoyed them a lot. Wish they had been written to completion. I recommend it to any real fans of the authors work.

A loving and positive collection of work by a remarkable person, arranged in a graceful manner. The loving way Adams was able to look at life is enriching. This is a book I will NOT be re-swapping!
