I thought this book was much better than Sammy's Hill! Although a tad unrealistic, the storyline flows easily throughout the entire book. The main character, Sammy, I found to be extremely likable, and less manic than in the first book. Very enjoyable read!

This was a great follow-up to Sammy's Hill.

Cute book! I read it directly following Sammy's Hill and enjoyed the connections between the two. Main character is quirky and fun to follow. Entertaining and a quick read.
I loved the quirky character of Sammy in Sammy's Hill, and Sammy's House was no disappointment as a sequel. If you liked the first book, you'll like this one also. Lot's of great political intrigue, some love life issues, fun with pets, etc. Great fun overall.
I've really enjoyed both Sammy's Hill and Sammy's House. They were very funny and the Sammy the main character kept me laughing cause she is quirky!
While Sammy's Hill fits squarely into the genre of romance, this novel fits within the realm of chick lit and coming of age. We catch up with Sammy, who we met in Sammy's House, as she settles into the White House. However, this Sammy is a more mature, focused version of Sammy, who has grown up a lot in the two years since we last saw her. This book is less romance, although her relationship issues are a main topic, and more about finding ones self and learning to balance what is right and what is popular both personally and professionally. This book is darker and more somber than Sammy's Hill but Ms. Gore's humor comes through loud and clear. A great book!
