This book covers ASP v2.0 (the current version is v3.0). Not much changed between v2.0 and v3.0. The main advance since this book was published is that ASP.Net has become the de facto standard for servers that use the Microsoft .Net framework (not all do).
This book does not cover .Net at all, but it is a good introduction for the ASP scripting used on Microsoft's IIS servers. As with all SAMS books, the material is easy to follow, leading you through the basics to more advanced operations.
