The Sanctuary is a book that once you start it you won't be able to put it down. Khoury is a screen writer and his books have the same thrill as the "big screen". Every time I thought I had figured the novel out it took me in another direction. Highly recommended for those who like exciting reading.

I absolutely loved this author for his ability to capture your attention quickly and keep the story moving jumping back between now and the 1700's. Lots of action, history, a long read (which I love) so this was definitely a huge hit for me. :)

Great "plane" read - history, suspense, part medical thriller all wrapped in one.
Enjoy!

A fast paced tale of the search for an elixer that retards aging. Interesting and at times thought provoking. Dawn

I guess I was a little disappointed in Khoury's follow up novel to "The Last Templar." Others may really like it, but it never really did it for me. The book read alright, and kept my interest, but It didn't seem to have the same "stuff" as his first book. No, their not supposed to be related, and I knew this going in, so I can't really put my finger on any one thing that caused me to feel the way I did. There were just little things here and there, and I guess I was a left a little wanting at the end.
Having said all this, I finished it, and never considered not... in fact I'm looking forward to reading his next novel, so... use this review, or don't... in the end it's just an opinion.

Fast and fun read, if you ignore the sketchy "made for movie" science. This reads like a screenplay of a hollywood film (and the author is a screenwriter). Not as good as The Last Templar, though.

If you liked the Da Vinci code you will probably like this one. This story is intriguing and you find yourself not wanting to put the book down until you get to the end.
