Always love Sandman. I personally think the series doesn't pick up till the second volume, but it's still very, very good. Also very graphic...

An excellent fantasy graphic novel, dealing with the role of the immortal who brings dreams to humans, and his importance.

This is an excellent series. The writing is compelling, the characters are thoroughly developed, the artwork is fantastic... Even if you're not the type of person who gravitates towards graphic novels, this is series is definitely worth your time.

I agree with the previous review though. the story doesn't start picking up until the second volume, and this first issue has a different flavor and cadence than the other stories.

That being said, this is a must read. you won't be disappointed.
