I have used this book extensively while teaching social studies to 2nd, 3rd and even 4th grade homeschoolers. It is highly entertaining and full of information about early colonial life.

Wonderful series! Glossy full-color photo pages, plus written journal of the daily life of one young girl living in Pilgrim times. (re-enacted by children of today dressed in costume, so the reader really feels as if she is there with the pilgrims!)
The book a photobook, for the most part, with simple text giving us a glimpse in to Sarah's typical day. Clear, up-close pictures that show the simple living conditions. A great add-on for other Thanksgiving and Pilgrim studies. Includes a recipe for 17th Century Indian Corn Bread, notes in the back about Plimoth Plantation, Sarah Morton and Amelia Poole-the girl portraying Sarah at the time, and a short glossary.
