When I read reviews that this sequel was even better than These Is My Words, I was skeptical. It started off a bit slow, but I believe Ms. Turner is doing that to give you a bit of background about the main characters and to reacquaint the reader with the thrust of the first novel. It quickly picks up, and I became engrossed so engrossed that I was unable to put the book down. Taking place in the span of 7 or 8 months in the Arizona territory of 1906 and the hardships of day to day living, it was true to the time and addictive reading. I would agree that it was perhaps a bit better and certainly as good as the first book.

I really enjoyed it. I loved and cared about the characters. This continuation of an amazing woman's life was fun to read, interesting, insightful and worth my time and money.
A sequel often doesn't live up to the original, but I believe this one does.

Very good book. Continuing from These Is My Words. This one isn't as interesting and hard to put down at the first one. But overall it was a very enjoyable read.
