This book has Charlie trying to find the wayward son of an old friend in New York, and falling honourably in love along the way. He finds out a lot about the missing man, more about himself, nearly gets both arrested and killed, but is really one step ahead of the NY police on the case all the time. A good read, with a sound mystery and characters you can take an interest in.
