Helpful Score: 1
Crispin is one of a handful of pro-writers who can be relied on to produce work that stays true to the spirit of the original series. This one does that admirably when it concentrates on the title character and his relationships with Amanda and Spock, but bogs down when burdened with an action-adventure B-line plot and not just one, but two, semi-romance C-line plots.
A good read for Star Trek fans.
Good story overall, enjoyed learning more about Spock and Sarek's relationship. There were many substories though, with lots of characters, and it was sometimes hard to keep track of who was who. Worth the read, but not one of the best...
