This being something that I would love to do, I couldnt miss an opportunity to travel vicariously. I was left with such wanderlust for Europe that Ive got to find some similar reads so that I can keep traveling. The theme of reinventing yourself at midlife may be familiar, but this author does it well. I felt like I was right there with him whipping, dicing and trying new techniques not to cry while chopping onions. Very funny, sometimes poignant, sometimes a little arrogant; in summation a good read about following your dreams when your world gives you a good hard kick. Fantastic recipes, too! Loved it!

An interesting story of the authors journey both from his old life into a new adventure. The constant angst about his lost love got a little annoying but the ending was worth it.
