I just simply like this series. It's not a stay awake all night, keeper shelf, kind of series. But I like it, it keeps my attention. Tyler takes the standard Seals turned shifter storyline and gives it a twist with giving them each Psy powers to go along with their wolf. Throw in a couple of paranormal creatures, and you have an entertaining story. One by one, each Alpha pack member is finding their true "bondmate". And so the love story follows. Aric is a crude ass kind of character, but it's just a front to keep people at arms length. True of most Alpha males, but Rowan isn't a wallflower willing to put up with his gruff demeanor. She is a LAPD cop used to alpha attitudes. The whole cast of characters are what makes this series a great read.

I liked the first book so much I bought this one new. Tyler does such a good job with the action scenes and the 'coming to the rescue scenes,' even if I didn't care for the story or characters I would keep reading. For me Tyler is right up there with Sparks. 4 stars from me.
This is my first book by Tyler and it doesn't seem like you have to read the series in order but there is an ongoing plotline between the books.
It was a pretty decent read. Although I didn't love it I did find the characters intriguing enough to try the other books in the series. Tyler's writing early on the book was slightly jumbled and confusing but it clears up as the book progressed.
Aric is kind of the "I don't deserve you" so I will act like a jerk hero. Ro is an extremely resilient woman. I liked that she understands Aric's attitude is a front but she is still human enough to get mad at him and has to take a time out to strategize her next move. The misunderstanding of feelings got a little irritating but it was still a pretty good read.
