Raven rescues the teenage Tess and takes her to his Mother for shelter. Tess grows up loving Raven, but Raven ( a Sioux) believes he must not marry outside his bloodline. Then he discovers his bloodline is not as pure as he thought.

This is a beautiful love story with a delightful ending. Simply written, easy-flowing plot, lovely historical-period characters...a fast & fun read. Charming!

I am a long time Diana Palmer fan, this is the first Historical Romance of hers that I have read..... it's a sweet story set in the turn of the century, the ususal handsome hero and smart heroine.
